I am pleased to announce that I have recently joined the dental practice of Dr.William O’Donnell and assuming your care when he leaves for retirement in the coming months. It is an honor for me to join such an exceptional practice, and I look forward to getting to know you and your families.
Dr. O’Donnell and I both wish to make this an easy and positive transition for us all, and I look forward to carrying on his fine tradition of warm, professional, and personalized care. We have worked together over the past few weeks to ensure that the care and service you rely on will continue without interruption.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Romania and attended Dental school of University of Craiova for my dental training. I received a Doctor of Medicine In Dentistry(DMD) in 2010. I immediately started practicing in our family dental office following my sister and dad’s footsteps.
Soon after I moved to the United State, I was on my path to recredentialing myself in my new home. After passing the National Dental Board Exam part I,II and the practical bench test, I attended Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery(DDS).
I have been a dentist in a practice in Leesburge Virginia and live in Centreville, so if you have a dental emergency, I can see you promptly.

Meet Dr. Bill O’Donnell
Dr. William A. O’Donnell was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Annandale, VA. He attended James Madison University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1977. He was on the faculty of Randolph Macon Academy, where he taught science, before attending the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1987.
After graduation, Dr. O’Donnell, practiced in Lake Ridge before opening his office in Centreville. He has been at his current location for over twenty years.
Dr. O’Donnell and his wife, Janet, met at James Madison University. Their son, Ryan, graduated from JMU and their daughter, Erin, is enrolled there now.
Dr. O’Donnell and his wife are members of the James Madison University Parent Council as well as the JMU Presidents Council.

Dr. O’Donnell belongs to the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. Sobhani
Dr. Shaghayegh (Rose) Sobhani is a native of Tehran, Iran, where she grew up in a dental family. As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Sobhani received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Iran’s top dental school, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She then completed a rigorous, three-year Periodontics residency program at Columbia University in the City of New York, where she also obtained a Master of Science degree through her research on factors affecting success of dental implants.
While at Columbia University, Dr. Sobhani received multiple awards, including the Kenneth L. Siegel Scholarship Award in Postdoctoral Periodontics in recognition of her exceptional performance, and the Certificate of Recognition for outstanding scholarly achievement in Drs. Paul Tannenbaum and Robert Schoor Memorial Competition from Northeastern Society of Periodontists.
Dr. Sobhani is an active member of American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Dental Association (ADA), Virginia Dental Association (VDA), and Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS).
Dr. Sobhani enjoys helping her patients achieve an even more beautiful smile, by developing and working towards an individualized oral health and aesthetic plan. Dr. Sobhani provides various services in all aspects of periodontal care, including but not limited to: periodontal treatment, surgical implant placement, bone and gum grafting, sinus augmentation, and periodontal plastic surgery.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sobhani loves playing the piano, listening to music, reading a good book, designing and baking cakes, and spending quality time with family, especially her little boy!
